We have already discussed in class on how Christine Daae reacts toward The Phantom of the Opera/Erik's love for her. Rather than being happy, she was really scared of the phantom and she wanted to escape, at first. However, after sending some times with the phantom, she began to think that the phantom was pitiful and she could accept the phantom as he treated her nicely.
